OMAR MOTA Separating children from their families

In the Summer of 2018, the Trump Administration issued a “zero-tolerance” policy that detained and separated immigrant families. While parents were sent to federal jails, children were housed in detention centers. As recent as these events are, research has revealed that separating families has always been a fundamental element within American History. The issue today is that many choose to ignore the recurring patterns in which separation has affected families, specifically children. If American citizens want to see a change in these policies we must use our voices for those who can’t. My campaign focuses on bringing awareness to voting and the power it has within the newer generations of society such as millenials and Gen Z. One vote can affect a million lives.
