No one should Fear Vaccinations

Life expectancy in the last decade has more than doubled and 8 major illnesses have been eradicated in the United States since the development of Vaccinations. Why are people still refusing to Vaccinate against the deadly diseases? Like with any choices we make in life there is always some degree of risk involved, But the risk of a poor reaction to a vaccine seems to take irrational precedence over the threat of the actual disease. Outbreaks like the recent cases of measles have a risk of killing 1 out of every 500 infected children under the age of 5. With the large populations of people not vaccinated they can pass on the disease unintentionally, causing not only death but severe brain damage. This is only one of several preventable diseases that vaccines can help, Vaccines are not more dangerous than the disease itself.
