Currently, there are more than 150,000 Sexual Assault Evidence Kit’s waiting to be DNA tested in America. The primary goal of the SAEK Tracker system campaign is to address problems within the current sexual assault evidence kit tracking systems to make a more uniform and efficient way to organize the kits. This is to prevent the backlog from continuing to be a problem in the future and make it easier for law enforcement to catalog their current backlog. The campaign itself then reaches out to law enforcement in order to encourage them to adopt this system. The eventual goal being every state using it to create a uniform experience in each precinct.
