The world will not evolve past its current state of crisis by using the same thinking that created the situation and we need to adapt to a new way of thinking. Encouraging the redesign of resource life cycles so that all products are reused and no trash to be sent to landfills. Disposing of waste has huge environmental impacts and can cause serious problems. Throwing away things wastes resources. It wastes the raw materials and energy used in making the items and it wastes money. Everyone knows waste is impacting our environment, and it is a problem that cannot be avoided. Everyone has to be willing to change their everyday habits.

DID YOU KNOW THAT WASTE AND POLLUTION ARE LARGELY A RESULT OF THE WAY WE DESIGN THINGS?

According to graphic designer Brian Dougherty and the author of Green Graphic Design, graphic designers need to think of the process starting from the end rather than the beginning. Waste and pollution are not accidents, but the consequences of decisions made at the design stage, where 80% of environmental impacts are determined. As designers, we should start to think about the delivery, production, and then the ideation steps. Then, an evaluation process should be applied to the whole project including internal development factors such as printing techniques and external factors such as shipping and carbon emissions.
