Alyn is an Asian-American designer born and raised in Arizona. She takes a liking to various aesthetics, often having a hard time settling on one. From being ambivalent about her aspirations, she finds design to be a significant part of her life. Sustainability and sensibility are important aspects to her, keeping these aspects in her work ethics. In her freetime, you can find her daydreaming and eating good food. As our consumption of media continuously grows, society’s reliance on information has an adjacent relationship. Governments place regulations on the type of information that can be shared as well as accessed. Oftentimes, that includes restricting access to true statements because the government doesn’t want us to think a particular way. What we see in the media influences our opinions, hinders self-expression & self-thinking, and stops us from living our truth. Restricting information from citizens leads to ignorance about current events. With the restriction on freedom of speech, people will feel inclined to keep their opinions to themselves rather than calling out issues that are occurring.
