Edwardo Cruz is a graphic designer from Arizona. He got his start back in high school, being heavily involved in art classes, he later enrolled into the design program at ASU. He won 2nd place in the national PSAid competition during his junior year and he currently works as a freelance designer using the skills he acquired throughout the program.
Every year more and more people are being put out onto the streets due to rising housing prices and gentrifying neighborhoods, and one demographic that is being affected that most turn a blind eye to, are people with disabilities.
People with disabilities are far more likely to experience homelessness than able bodied and neurotypical people. There are hardly any social safety nets for people experiencing homelessness, and the majority of programs are centered around helping able bodied people. Bringing awareness to the issues these people are facing and learning how to help is vital to ending homelessness for all.
