Quinn is a graphic designer from Tucson, Arizona who has studied visual communication design at Arizona State University. She has a background in visual arts which continues to be her main hobby. She has worked in-house as an intern for ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions where she further discovered her love for designing physical print media. She is interested in design as a tool to communicate important issues and express yourself and your connection with the world, and hopes to seek out work in printing.
Since 2020, more than half of reported heat related deaths in Maricopa County each year were homeless individuals. Extreme heat is dangerous and detrimental to one’s health, considered the deadliest weather event in the United States annually, and heatwaves have a more severe effect on those who are already vulnerable. Global warming and the urban heat island effect plus a lack of infrastructure for effectively helping homeless individuals compound to make extreme heat a modern social problem as well as an environmental one.
