After completing high school, Shea McCrohan pursued a passion for visual arts by obtaining an Associate of Applied Science in Digital Arts at Glendale Community College. Eager to further refine skills, she continued her education at Arizona State University's VCD program, accompanied by a minor in studio arts. With a keen interest in motion graphics and animation, Shea aspires to specialize in these areas within the graphic design field. Beyond designs, she finds joy in culinary adventures, attending punk shows, and taking leisurely strolls to Trader Joe’s.
"Psyche" is a NASA mission designed to explore a unique asteroid named 16 Psyche, which is believed to be the exposed metallic core that may be similar to earths center. The primary goal of the Psyche mission is to investigate the asteroid's composition and structure to gain insights into the formation and evolution of planetary bodies. By studying Psyche's metallic makeup, scientists hope to better understand the processes that occurred during the early stages of our solar system's formation.
The Psyche mission launched in 2023, with arrival at the asteroid scheduled for 2029. While the spacecraft is in “cruise” headed to the asteroid for the next 6 years, it is a designers task to keep the public interested in the mission. “Happy Birthday Psyche!” Is a campaign designed to show a bright and colorful aspect to Psyche that will entice a wide range of age groups, and bring the excitement of exploration closer to the Psyche mission audience.
