Reshaping Blocks

Human Rights

Mexico City’s growing appeal to digital nomads has intensified gentrification, driving up rents and reshaping long-standing neighborhoods. Fueled by remote work, tourism, short-term rentals, inequality, and policy gaps, this economic pressure displaces residents and disrupts community life. Because housing stability is essential to cultural continuity, addressing this issue requires shared responsibility, accountability, and collective action.
