Lindsey Nguyen is a multidisciplinary designer pursuing her BSD in Graphic Design at ASU with a love for all things creative and whimsical. With her background of fine arts and experience in illustration, she found herself drawn to graphic design as a way to bring beauty and streamline experiences within a media-centered world. Through her years of freelancing and contract work with clients within the game industry, she found enjoyment in bringing the design principles to help player experiences, and works towards making more meaningful impacts in that space. When she is not designing, she enjoys going back to her artist roots and loves to draw in her free time.

Fan culture has revealed the darker social consequences of celebrity worship, where simple admiration can shift into entitlement, obsession, and even impact one’s identity. Shielded by anonymity and distance, individuals often dehumanize both the idol of worship and these fans, reducing real people and experiences into simple content. These digital environments blur empathy, intensifies parasocial bonds, and shape a person’s core.
