War of the Mind
Mental Health
U.S. Veterans are 20 times more likely to be diagnosed with PTSD during their lifetime compared to civilians, yet less than a quarter will seek out and complete treatment. Additionally, those affected are up to 80% more likely to abuse substances, increasing other health risks. De-stigmatizing military mental health is the first step towards increasing life-saving care for current and future veterans alike.
