Environment, Human Rights
Cancer Alley is an 85 mile stretch in Louisiana where more than 150 petrochemical plants sit beside predominantly Black communities. Shaped by segregation, redlining, and discriminatory zoning, this region became a sacrifice zone. Today, families face constant pollution, chronic illness, and shortened lives, exposing environmental injustice rooted in systemic racism.
