Child Sexual Abuse within the United States
Child sexual abuse is a growing issue in the United States, with alarming statistics highlighting its prevalence. According to Child Protective Services (CPS), a child is verified as a victim of sexual abuse every nine minutes. This devastating reality is compounded by a lack of widespread education and regulatory measures, making it challenging to address effectively. Furthermore, the signs of abuse are often subtle and difficult to identify without proper training and awareness, leaving many cases undetected. Raising public understanding and implementing stronger safeguards are critical steps toward combating this pervasive issue and protecting vulnerable children.
