Trysten Huang is an Arizona-born graphic designer completing his B.S. in Graphic Design at Arizona State University. He has gained experience through multiple internships while continuing to expand his technical and conceptual skills. His practice is rooted in a people-centered approach and shaped by reflection. Trysten believes growth comes from pausing to consider the experiences that inform how we see the world, and this mindset carries into his design process. He is especially interested in examining how design functions within larger economic systems and how it balances human impact with commercial demands. Drawn to design because of its influence on perception and everyday life, he approaches his work with curiosity and intention.

Manufactured Disagreement

Technology and Society

The digital public square has been redesigned to prioritize division over dialogue. Driven by engagement metrics, social media algorithms curate isolated echo chambers that reward sensationalism and reinforce pre existing biases. This systemic manipulation erodes our shared reality, replacing nuanced civic discourse with manufactured polarization and a pervasive “us vs. them” mentality.
