Environment

Synthetic fabrics like polyester and nylon shed tiny plastic fibers during production, wear, and washing—fibers that are too small to be filtered out by most water treatment systems. These microplastics accumulate in rivers, oceans, and even drinking water, posing serious risks to ecosystems and human health.

Through research-driven visuals and immersive storytelling, the exhibit reveals the unseen lifecycle of clothing and its lasting environmental impact. By highlighting the connection between consumer habits and water pollution, the work encourages more mindful consumption and advocates for sustainable alternatives within the fashion industry.
